Pre-K through 12th-grade support services are available to school districts, LEAs, and educational professionals serving deaf and hard of hearing children. This can include administrators, teachers, speech-language pathologists, educational interpreters, and others!
Consultations are available to provide support regarding students’ IEPs, accessibility in the classroom environment and to the curriculum, language development, and more.

The Outreach Department offers professional development for districts statewide. Teachers, administrators, and related service professionals can learn from our Outreach team and network at no cost!
Deaf Education 101 provides a broad overview of how to serve Deaf and hard of hearing students of all ages, hearing levels, and language levels. It covers:
- An overview of Deaf Education and its major roles
- Common misconceptions about Deaf Education and deaf and hard of hearing students
- Supporting your deaf and hard of hearing students' linguistic and communication levels
- Language and communication pathways for deaf and hard of hearing students
- Working with amplification such as hearing aids and cochlear implants
- How to appropriately interact with deaf and hard of hearing students (and staff!)
- Common and recommended accommodations for deaf and hard of hearing students, and how to implement them in an IEP
