Middle School End-of-the-Year Fun Day

The Middle School staff recently treated their students to a fun filled end-of-the-year fun day. This day was designed to reward students for their hard work and good behavior during the school year.
The morning was spent in the Middle School wing where students rotated through classrooms participating in activities led by their teachers:
- Social Studies Scavenger Hunt - congratulations to winners Troy Goss, Kedrick Morrison and Jacob Pinto!
- Writing Activity - making retirement cards for Ms. Dorothy Rodriguez (Middle School ASL teacher retiring at the end of this school year)
- Cooking Activity - peeling, slicing, and frying potatoes
- Art Activity - making whirly-gigs to blow in the breeze
Picnic lunches were provided by the school cafeteria and were eaten outside under a huge tent. Following lunch, the students participated in a variety of outdoor games:
- Lawn Darts
- Horse Shoes
- Bean Bag Toss
- Football
- Kickball
- Frisbee
- Water Relay
- Egg/Spoon Relay
- Egg Toss - congratulations to winners Keimon Brown and Justin Flannery!
Last, but not least, everyone had a blast as they played on the inflatable water slide! This was such a refreshing way to end the 2012 Middle School Fun Day!
