This is an update on the search for a Director for LSD. Two candidates have been selected by the Search Committee to advance to the Interview step of the selection process. The names of the candidates and the schedule for their visits appear below:

Arrival Date: Sunday, April 15, 2012

Campus Visit: Monday, April 16, 2012

  • 8:00 - 10:30: Campus Tour
  • 10:45 - 11:45: Meet with representatives of the Louisiana Department of Education
  • 11:45 - 12:30: Lunch with students in the school cafeteria
  • 12:45 - 1:30: Visit to LSVI
  • 2:00 - 3:15: Interview with the Search Committee
  • 3:30 - 4:15: Presentation to Faculty and Staff
  • 4:15 - 5:00: Break
  • 5:00 - 6:00: Dinner with residential students and staff
  • 7:00 - 7:45: Presentation to community, including parents/families, Deaf Community and other interested community members
