The Louisiana School for the Deaf Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, formed in 1993 and governed by a board of directors representing the community.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Louisiana School for the Deaf students by:

• Promoting public awareness of the history, traditions and culture of the school and the Deaf community
• Generating financial support to advance the school's excellence in education, and
• Serving to create greater unity between the school's community, the Deaf Community and the hearing citizens of Louisiana.

Deaf children want the same things you and your children do. A happy life. Opportunity, Success. But their journey is filled with obstacles the hearing world simply does not understand.

The Louisiana School for the Deaf Foundation was created to help make their dreams a reality by becoming a pillar of support for the Louisiana School for the Deaf.
