Parent-Pupil Education Program
The Parent-Pupil Education Program is a free statewide outreach service which serves families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. The PPEP staff are Deaf Education certified teachers located in different regions of the state to provide opportunities to learn about hearing loss, educational options and resources.
These skilled professionals provide family-centered services to assist parents in enhancing natural interaction and communication with their child. Families are offered instruction, information and support to assist them in meeting the unique needs of their child, and activities are included that help each child meet developmental milestones, especially language skills.
